NOTE: We have set the brightness of RGB LED limited to 20.
Pls DO NOT set it higher to avoid damaging the LED and acrylic screen.
ATOM Matrix is the most compact development board in the M5Stack development kit series yet with a size of only 24 * 24mm. It provides more GPIO pins and is very suitable for handy and miniature embedded device development. The main control adopts the ESP32-PICO-D4 chip, which comes integrated with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies and has 4MB of integrated SPI flash memory. The Atom board provides an Infra-Red LED along with the 5*5 RGB LED matrix on the panel, a built-in IMU sensor (MPU6886), and a PH2.0 interface. A general purpose programmable button is provied below the Neo Led matrix to enable users to add input support to their various projects. The on-board USB interface (Type-C) enables rapid program uploading and execution. One M2 screw hole is provided on the back for mounting the board.
Supported development platforms and program languages: Arduino, Micropython. Regardless of the level of program skills you posess, M5Stack will guide you and help you, every step of the way, in realizing your idea as well as in the final productization.
Have received today, really nice products, love it so much, and i will recommend to my friends,
After setting the board to M5Stick-C in the Arduino IDE, programming the Atom Matrix worked fine. After I found the "M5Stack Atom Arduino Library" I also could test the MPU6886: https://github.com/m5stack/M5Atom
Nice litte device and its fun to play with.
The only little downside - unlike M5Stack and M5Stick, the Atom Matrix has no integrated battery.
I bought the ATOM and received it hours ago, i tried to use it/download a test program but UIFlow does not support it! Mr. Adam Bryant replied on the FB M5 Stack Group on 2020.1.17 "Please wait as UIFlow needs updating again." and "However, it may work as a stickC" ....but it is not the case, i used UIFlow 1.0.6 Desktop app on WIndows 10 using USB port (mapped as COM7) and there is no communication ....and even if it would work even the UI is completely different from the Stick C so i urgently need a IDE that supports the ATOM. I recommend M5Stack to be honest in what you post in your website to avoid such bad experiences and review; release your products when they are really ready....I will be glad to make a new review with 5 starts in the future if the ATOM and UIFlow do what they promise. Thank you!
